On May 13th, the Formula-K Kart Circuit will host the third round of the MSA Northern Regions ROK Karting Championship, where rookie Mikel Bezuidenhout will make his third appearance in the newly-introduced OK-N Class.
Despite only participating in one national and one regional round, the Pretoria resident is ready for the upcoming race. Bezuidenhout, currently fifth in the championship, will be racing at the Benoni circuit, a location familiar to him after having competed there multiple times this season across both kart championships. i.e. ROK and Rotax.
“I’m still finding my way with the OK-N powered kart. We have steadily improved every time we’ve been out, but we still have some way to go to obtain the best from the setup. But I’m confident that we can have a strong weekend with the team always providing the best-prepared kart on the day.”
Bezuidenhout thanks MTN Cosmo-Net, Vivo Mobile and the NBR Karting Team. Saturday’s Qualifying session will begin at 09:39, followed by three race heats at 11:35, 14:13, and 16:27. Each heat will consist of 10 laps.
