Adriaan Steyn will return to Zwartkops Kart Raceway this weekend for Round 4 of the Northern Regions Rotax Kart Championships, hoping to turn his rookie Micro MAX season around.
The reigning national and regional Bambino Champion has had a challenging start to his 2024 campaign, a testament to the fierce competition within the class. Despite this, he has shown a good pace throughout. A heat exclusion at both the second and third rounds has seen him languish at the bottom half of the championship table unfortunately. While finishing on the podium three times this season, Adriaan has achieved a runner-up position, which is his best of the season. No doubt he will be looking to replicate those results with the aim of scoring his first victory.
“I am hoping we can continue our good form this weekend. While the results have not gone our way with a few technical infringements, we have the pace to run at the front. Friday will be key to dialing in our kart and hopefully, with a little luck, we can be back on the podium and launch ourselves up the championship table,” said Adriaan.
On Friday, there will be several practice sessions before the qualifying and racing on Saturday. Entry is free of charge, and spectators are welcome.
Adriaan extends his thanks to Greensky, Sparco, Q4 Fuels and Parolin Racing SA.
