Well hello 2024. The gates of racing have OFFICIALLY opened with the start of the ROK CUP Nationals in Cape Town this past weekend.
Team colours exploded into Killarney International Raceway as drivers from across the Country hustled and bustled their way into the pits for this much anticipated event.
Fresh off a disappointing AFRICAN KARTING CUP, Nagura bounded into Friday’s official practice with some superbly competitive lap times.
After qualifying in ninth position, this PE native found his feet in race one, moving up three places to take a sixth in front of CRG driver, Alanzo Dias.
Nagura stepped up a beat in Race Two, managing to stave off XTREME driver Cornofsky with brut confidence but ultimately losing one place to finish seventh behind Dias.
Race Three tied it all together for this determined young chap who fell just shy of seventh place and ultimately ended his day with a respectable sixth place finish in his first Nationals of the season.
Nagura moves on to more testing at his home track in Port Elizabeth this week.
