Exactly a year after the maiden National & Regional double-header, the Extreme Festival Presented By Coca-Cola will return to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on 11-12 April.

The 2024 edition of the event saw the biggest turnout for a local motorsport-only event at the iconic, internationally acclaimed circuit since the 2016 reopening. With this year’s edition, the event promoters will aim to equal or better the number of spectators entering through the gate,

Bumper-Edition Race Programme

The event will again see a combined programme of top-class South African motorsport from both the Extreme Festival Presented By Coca-Cola’s rosters.

One of the most-anticipated on-track events will be the debut of the new Invesctchem MSA4 Series. Replacing the former premier single-seater series on the roster, the Investchem Formula 1600 Championship, this series will see a new generation of locally manufactured, Volkswagen-powered single-seater cars lined up in their inaugural outing. For all the other national-status series, it will be their second championship round, with the Extreme SuperCars Driven By Dunlop, South African Touring Cars, SATC SupaCup, Astron Energy Polo Cup, and Gazoo Racing Cup Driven By Netstar all having started their season at Killarney International Raceway.

The BMW ///M Performance Parts Race Series will be one of the big drawcards from the regional roster. With the most outings at the circuit since the reopening, the Series recently entertained a packed Kyalami crowd at the 2024 BMW MFest, the biggest event of its nature. Having also formed part of this year’s Passion For Speed line-up, this will be their third 2025 championship round. The ATE VW Challenge, Ferro Energia 111 & GT Sports & Saloons, Dunlop V8 Supercars, DOE Formula Vee Partnered With CIM Lubricants, and SuperHatch series will be back in action after their entertaining Zwartkops Raceway season opener.

Entertainment Beyond The Circuit

Apart from 12 of South Africa’s top racing series, spectators will also be able to get closer to the action by taking a passenger ride in one of the drift cars on the skidpan. Taking a break from the high-octane action will also be more enjoyable at the Coca-Cola Activation Area, featuring a Gig Rig with live music & DJs. A host of food and drink vendors will also be located at various points around the circuit.
