Cape Town’s Max Boshoff is gearing up for an action-packed race weekend at the Killarney Kart Circuit as he embarks on his 2025 national Rotax campaign in the ultra-competitive Mini MAX class. With a strong fifth-place finish in the 2024 season, the 11-year-old is eager to leverage his home-track knowledge and international experience to challenge for victory against an exceptionally talented field.

Max competes at home in both the Mini ROK and Mini MAX classes, where he has secured several WPMC Karting championships, including the 2024 WPMC Mini MAX title.

This weekend’s Mini MAX grid is set to be the largest of the event, with 25 young drivers vying for top honours. The intense competition will begin on Thursday morning with a series of practice sessions, allowing drivers to fine-tune their setups. More practice sessions will continue Friday before a crucial late-afternoon qualifying session determines the starting order for Saturday’s racing.

Race day promises to be an adrenaline-fueled showdown as Max, who races out of the Xtreme Racing stable, and his rivals tackle three 12-lap heats, each crucial in determining the day’s overall winner. With overtaking opportunities at a premium and every point counting toward the championship, expect fierce wheel-to-wheel battles as the young drivers push their limits.

For Max, racing at Killarney is not just another event, it’s a chance to shine in front of a home crowd and stake his claim as a title contender for the 2025 national season. With his skill, determination, and deep familiarity with the circuit, he will be one to watch as the lights go out this weekend.
