Aldo Scribante no-man’s land full of potential, for Giordano
Giordano Lupini is beyond excited for his next appointment aboard his Tork Craft Polo at Aldo Scribante’s CompCare Polo Cup races in Nelson Mandela Bay on Saturday 17 June. Lupini may have started his season a round late, but he’s come out of his corner fighting, taking three race wins and a couple of third places in his five races so far.
“We may have started late, but I’ve had a fantastic run in the five races since we have been back,” Giordano explains. “We took the pole position bonus point at both Killarney and Zwartkops and won three of our five heats, with two thirds in the other two races. Our objective is to be on the podium every race and to try score as many points as possible, so we need to just keep our heads down and go for it.
“Zwartkops was challenging, being in the lion’s den of our rivals’ home track, so that result was brilliant. Now we go off to two neutral tracks starting with PE this weekend, and East London in July, before we come back home in September. We hope to be strong enough in all three of those rounds to be able to head up to the Zwartkops finale with at least a shot at the 2023 CompCare Polo Cup title.
“It’s a challenge for sure, but Nian du Toit has my Tork Craft Polo Cup on rails, I’m driving as well as I ever have, and we’re just going to give it our best shot against some pretty tough rivals. Bring it on, see you at Aldo Scribante!”
