Mokoena keen on a GT Masters step forward

Kyalami race driver Kwanda Mokoena is keen to make a strong impression as he approaches the milestone 250th German ADAC Masters race at the Nürburgring this weekend. Sharing his Amandla Coal Fields Haupt Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 with German Max Reis, the two youngsters have put in a workmanlike performance so far this season, albeit that they have had a tough run of it of late.

“I can’t wait for the Nürburgring this weekend,” Kwanda admitted. “It’s a landmark weekend and the first time we will be racing the new endurance race on Saturday, and sprint on Sunday format, so Max and me are keen to impress. We have one podium under our belts this year, so another would be a great reward for the entire team’s effort on our baby blue Haupt Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 so far this season.

“My home fans can follow the racing via live streaming and timing via youtube.com/adacmotorsports, or www.adac-motorsport.de. Thanks as ever to my sponsors, Amandla Coal Fields, my great Haupt team and my family, friends, and fans for all the support – can’t wait to race at the ‘Ring’ this weekend!”
