Noah Cronje will travel to the Eastern Cape this week as he prepares for the opening round of the MSA National Karting Championship hosted at the Celso Scribante Kart Track in Gqeberha for the first time since 2019.
In preparation for the event, the reigning National Bambino and Cadet Champion participated in the regional championship round this past weekend, where he finished third overall following three podium finishes. Back home in Gauteng, Cronje occupies fourth in the MSA Northern Regions Karting Championship, boasting a podium finish. While most of his Gauteng regional competitors will be in action this weekend, many have not competed at the circuit before the past weekend, and spectators can expect some exciting racing. While a rookie in the Kid ROK class this season, Cronje will undoubtedly be in the mix for a podium placing.
“I can’t wait to go racing again this weekend,” said Çronje. “It was a steep learning curve this past weekend, having to get accustomed to many things, but I am ready to take on the nation’s best this weekend. We’ve prepared as well as we could have, so now it will be down to me. Thank you to my sponsors Easy Life Kitchen Fairie Glen and Zambesi and Sparco, for the assistance.”
Spectators are welcomed on the weekend, with Friday set aside for official practice. An entire program of racing is set for Saturday, with the event also streamed live on the ROK Cup South Africa social media channels on Saturday.
