Jarrod Waberski is in Silverstone this weekend (6 / 7 May) for the second round of the 2023 GB3 Championship with Fortec Motorsport.
Silverstone has been a good circuit for Jarrod in the past, with the BRDC Rising Star earning three GB4 podiums at the Historic Grand Prix Circuit last year. Whilst the driving style, downforce and performance varies greatly between the GB3 and GB4 cars, his 2022 results bode well for the weekend ahead.
“I am looking forward to the round and relish every moment that I get to spend behind the wheel, doing what I love. I am coming to grips with the GB3 car and together with my team, we are developing the car’s set-up to suit my driving style. I am definitely up for the challenge and will be giving it my all,” commented Jarrod.
Despite difficult conditions at the first round of the championship at Oulton Park, Jarrod has established himself as a driver to watch this year and continues to win the support of South African Motorsport fans.
“It is difficult being away from home for such long periods of time, but I truly feel blessed to be given this opportunity. I am so grateful to my family, sponsors, team and fans who are with me on this journey,” he concluded.
Jarrod will once again face three races this weekend (one on Saturday 6 May and two on Sunday 7 May), all of which will be streamed live on the GB3 Channels.
