The time has come to celebrate the outstanding achievements of South Africa’s motorsport community and the 2024 MSA National Awards, a highlight on the South African motorsport calendar, will take place on 1 December 2024 in the Senate Room at Emperors Palace.

The evening promises to showcase the best of South African motorsport and, this year, 63 national champions will be recognised for their remarkable performances throughout the 2024 season. Their dedication, perseverance, and passion have earned them the highest accolades in their respective disciplines. From the track to the dirt, from seasoned professionals to rising stars, the event will celebrate excellence across all facets of motorsport.

The evening will also honour 30 recipients of Protea Colours, individuals who have represented South Africa with pride on the international and continental stage, demonstrating their talent and flying the South African flag high in some of the world’s most demanding competitions.

Beyond individual accomplishments, the MSA National Awards recognises broader contributions to motorsport through its Special Awards, with categories such as Volunteer of the Year and Photographer of the Year highlighting the dedication of individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

A special moment in the programme will be the presentation of the Golden Helmet and Special Awards, paying tribute to those who have made an enduring impact on motorsport in South Africa. These awards celebrate the legacies of individuals who have shaped the sport and inspired future generations.

Additionally, the MSA Pioneer Awards return for the second year, acknowledging competitors of colour and women who broke barriers in local motorsport under challenging circumstances, paving the way for a more inclusive future.

As we prepare for this prestigious event, it is also a time to reflect on the resilience and determination of the motorsport community in overcoming the challenges of the past year. The MSA National Awards stands as a testament to the unwavering passion and spirit that drive the sport forward.

With just days to go, we congratulate all the award recipients in advance. Let us celebrate their achievements and toast to another year of remarkable success in South African motorsport, with great anticipation for what 2025 will bring.
