With a passion for embracing the future of professional enduro racing, Robin Flores has been appointed by the Enduro Working Group members as the new MSA Enduro Working Group Chairman.
As Clerk of Course (COC) since 2009, Flores has extensive experience in planning, and overseeing enduro events in the Mpumalanga, Gauteng, Northwest, and KwaZulu Natal provinces. He is no stranger to MSA regulations and safety standards and has a keen understanding of event logistics, course design and marshalling, including experience with conflict resolution and managing any emergencies on circuit. He was a logical fit for this position.
In his new capacity as Chairman, Flores says, “It is a very important group comprising promoters, organisers and participants, who together with MSA, will collaboratively work towards establishing and driving a new united vision for Enduro racing in South Africa,” says Flores. He says over the last year the group has had great success in streamlining processes with Motorsport SA. “Part of my mandate as Chair is to correct misconceptions from the past and help organisers and competitors see the value MSA brings. I am really looking forward to a fruitful 2025 and excited to bring South Africa a solid National Enduro championship,” says Flores.
Vic Maharaj, Motorsport SA Sporting Services Manager concludes, “We congratulate Robin on his new appointment and look forward to carrying on the excellent collaborative work with the committee to build Enduro in South Africa.”
