With the MSA Northern Regions Senior MAX Kart Championship title already in the bag, the 2023 national Senior MAX Champion KC Ensor-Smith will utilise the final regional round as preparation for the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF) scheduled for Bahrain in December.
Ensor-Smith, who has dominated the regional championship, takes a 49-point lead into the final round over fellow Toyota Gazoo Racing Junior Academy (TGRJA) driver, Olerato Sekudu. In the regional competition Ensor-Smith has achieved 12 victories out of 15 heats and has only finished off the podium once, showing why he is regarded as one of South Africa’s top karting talents.
“While it’s just another race weekend I need all the seat time I can get ahead of the Grand Finals. Preparation for Bahrain will be key now and we need to utilise this weekend wisely. It’s been a solid season and to end off with a win will be great,” stated Ensor-Smtih.
Saturday will commence with a Warm-Up and a Qualifying Session ahead of three race heats. Entry to the event is free, and spectators are encouraged to attend.
