Kid ROK rookie Noah Cronje occupies third in the MSA National ROK Karting Championship and hopes to move up in the rankings this weekend as the penultimate round of the competition heads to the coast for the second time this season.
Despite achieving three runner-up positions and two podiums, Cronje, the top-placed rookie, has yet to secure a heat victory. However, the Sparco brand ambassador, who also recently gained the support of Motul South Africa, is optimistic about his chances of performing well at the Killarney circuit in Cape Town.
“We are looking forward to the weekend,” said Cronje. “Past visits to the circuit have been good, and my main rivals all hail from Gauteng, so that’s one less concern. The weather could play a role in the weekend’s result, but I’ve always enjoyed the wet conditions. Good luck to all competing this weekend.”
Saturday’s Qualifying is scheduled for 10:18, with three 10-lap heats set for 11:28, 13:13 and 14:23, respectively.
