This past weekend, rookie driver Kayde Cornofsky showcased his impressive talents at the 2024 Northern Regions ROK Kart Championships held at Red Star Raceway. As one of the youngest competitors in the field, Kayde entered the double-header event eager to prove himself after his success as the 2023 National and Northern Regions Kid ROK Champion.

With a slim chance of contending for the Mini ROK title, Kayde knew that he needed to secure victories in every heat while hoping for some luck to fall his way. His determination and skill quickly became evident as he started strong, taking position on the front row for the Saturday’s opening heat.

Heat 1 saw Kayde deliver a stellar performance. Displaying great pace and composure, he clinched a podium finish in a competitive field. He then followed up with a fantastic victory in his second heat, ultimately concluding Saturday’s racing in a commendable third overall—a significant achievement given his rookie status and the level of competition.

Sunday proved to be a more challenging day. Though he faced hurdles, his talent shone through once again, earning him another heat podium. He ended the day in fourth overall, cementing his position as a promising contender for the future.
