Another dominant performance from Kid ROK racer Kayde Cornofsky saw the Xtreme Racing driver dominate the field, winning all three heats at the weekend.
Competing in the penultimate round of the MSA Northern Regions ROK Championship, the Allegiance Properties-backed driver recorded a full haul of points to reduce the margin to the championship leader with a round remaining.
After securing pole position on Saturday, Cornofsky engaged in a three-way battle with Riley Van Staden and Logan Billau. While his rivals squabbled over the runner-up position in the day’s three heats, Cornofsky triumphed to claim the day’s winner’s trophy. He has now recorded ten heat victories, along with three podium finishes.
“It was a good day out,” said Cornofsky. “We came here to win, and we did just that. Not only was this the perfect preparation for the upcoming national, but it also allowed me to make up a some ground in the championship. I would not be able to accomplish any of this without the help and support of my family, team and sponsors. Thank you to everyone.”
Cornofsky thanks Canario Cornofsky Attorneys, Calistos’ Portuguese Restaurant, Allegiance Properties, Smith Garage, The 357 and his team at Xtreme Racing. While Round 6 of the regional championship concludes on 11 November, Cornofsky will compete at the final national ROK Cup round held on 22-23 September at the Vereeniging Kart Circuit.
