Kayde Cornofsky, the newly crowned national champion, ended his 2023 Kid ROK season perfectly. He displayed another dominant performance over the weekend at the Vereeniging Kart Circuit, where the final round of the Northern Regions ROK Karting Championships was held.
Cornofsky secured the pole position on Saturday morning and won all three heats, solidifying himself as the top Kid ROK driver of 2023. He won seven of 13 national heats while clinching 13 of 18 regional races. While a definitive decision on his 2024 season still needs to be made, the Johannesburg resident will likely move up to the competitive Mini ROK class.
“After such an incredible season, all that’s left to do is thank everyone who played a part in my success, from the team at Xtreme Racing, including Uncle Leeroy and my technician Jarrod, to my family, friends and sponsors who made this all possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you! While I look forward to the break, I hope to continue with everyone in 2024. I wish everyone a wonderful festive season,” said Cornofsky.
Cornofsky thanks Allegiance Properties, Canario Cornofsky Attorneys, Calisto’s Portuguese Restaurant, Smith Garage, the 357, Xtreme Racing and Motorsport Fanatix.
