This weekend, the fourth round of the MSA Northern Regions ROK Karting Championship will take place at Zwartkops Kart Raceway. Cadet driver Luhan De Wet is determined to uphold his undefeated record this season.
After three rounds, seven-year-old De Wet heads into the second half of the season, having taken victory in all nine heats of the championship thus far. While the Cadet class grows, a small grid is expected again this weekend, with De Wet the likely pick-of-the-bunch.
“We are happy to return home after a tough Cape Town national. All my focus is now on this weekend’s racing, with preparations going well. We’re expecting some cold weather, but that shouldn’t affect us in any way. Thank you to De Wet Automotive Performance Service & Repairs, Duratec Batteries Centurion, Alunite Pretoria and the NBR Racing Team.
Qualifying is scheduled for 09:02, followed by three race heats at 10:48, 13:35 and 15:43, respectively. Spectators are welcomed with entry free of charge.
