At just 10 years old, Bohlale Mafokate better known on the track as “Littleman” is already carving out his space in South African motorsport. Hailing from Soweto, this young racer is full of determination, confidence, and an unwavering love for motorcycles.

Littleman competes in both motorcycle circuit and cross-country racing, two disciplines that demand not only technical ability but serious focus. His introduction to the sport came naturally, thanks to his dad’s deep passion for motorbikes. “From birth, my dad was riding a motorbike,” says Littleman. “I’d hear the sound of the bike from far when he came home and would run to wait for him at the gate. He would give me a short ride in the yard, and from the age of two, I kept asking him to buy one for me.”

The big moment came when Littleman was just four and a half years old: his dad surprised him with his very own motorbike. From that day forward, he was hooked. “I have never looked back,” he says.

His competitive spirit is what keeps him going. “Being competitive pushes me to new heights and gives me the desire to win,” he shares. And win he has, one of his standout moments came in 2020, when he secured his first championship riding a PW50.

Of course, like many young competitors, Littleman draws inspiration from those closest to him in his case, his father, whose support and influence continue to shape his journey.

When asked what advice he would give to others starting out in motorsport, Littleman keeps it simple but meaningful: “Be passionate, love every minute of it, and never allow pressure to take over.”

And before every race? He has a routine. A quiet prayer, followed by a quick trip to the loo. Just enough to settle the nerves and get his mind in gear.
