Mikel Bezuidenhout is set to continue his strong start to the 2025 Senior MAX Regional Karting Championship as he heads to Vereeniging Kart Circuit for the second round of the season this weekend.
Despite shifting his primary focus to the inaugural Investchem MSA4 single-seater championship this year, the Sandton teenager remains fully committed to karting as a vital part of his development as a racecar driver. Now in his third season in the ultra-competitive Senior MAX category, Mikel has started 2025 with fresh motivation after joining the Xtreme Racing Team stable.
Vereeniging presents a new challenge, but Mikel arrives with confidence, having already proven himself as a podium contender. In 2024, he showcased his pace with three podium finishes across three rounds, including a breakthrough maiden victory. This season, his assertive driving style and relentless pursuit of speed have already been on display, as seen in the opening round at Formula-K Raceway, where he battled through challenging conditions to claim sixth place overall.
With valuable experience and a hunger for further success, Mikel will aim to fight at the sharp end of the grid this weekend. His ability to adapt to different track conditions and execute decisive overtakes will be key factors as he looks to add more silverware to his growing collection.
As the championship heats up, all eyes will be on Bezuidenhout to see if he can continue his momentum and challenge for another podium at Vereeniging.
Mikel is backed by MTN Cosmo-Net and Huawei Mobile South Africa.
