Diego Antunes, the Mini ROK driver from Gauteng, is set to showcase his exceptional skills at one of his favourite circuits this weekend. He will be participating in the second round of the national ROK Cup Kart Championships, a double-header weekend that will earn him valuable points towards his national and Northern Regions championships. Having performed well at Vereeniging in the past, Diego will be a driver to watch out for in what promises to be a thrilling showdown.
While the TrevPar World-backed driver endured a tough national opener in Cape Town, he is more at ease around the twisty Vereeniging Raceway. Currently ninth in the national standings with a best finish of ninth, Diego will be looking to improve on that result in a class known for some close battles and fierce racing. Regionally he occupies third in the championship.
Official practice will kick off on Friday, followed by qualifying on Saturday morning ahead of three race heats to determine the round winner.
