This weekend, TrevParWorld-backed Diego Antunes returns to Kid ROK racing as Round 4 of the MSA Northern Regions Karting Championships resumes at Zwartkops Kart Raceway.
Antunes, a rookie in the Kid ROK class of 2023, is fifth in the championship standings. While he has yet to finish on the podium, he has consistently competed against other talented racers like Noah Cronje, Alanzo Dias, and Bophelo Molathlegi. It’s worth noting that these racers also came through the Bambino ranks with Antunes, who was the 2022 MSA Northern Regions Bambino Champion. Antunes is determined to finally reach the podium and is focused on achieving this goal.
“The plan is simple this weekend. Push as hard as I can and fight for that first podium. The season so far has been challenging, and our pace hasn’t been great. We’ve had a few weeks off, and hopefully, we have found a few tenths. Time will tell,” said Antunes.
Qualifying is scheduled for 09:26, followed by three race heats at 11:20, 14:07 and 16:15, respectively. Spectators are welcome with entry free of charge.
