Mikel Bezuidenhout returns from a brief deep-sea diving getaway to recommence his battle for the OK-N MSA Northern Regions Karting Championship at Vereeniging Kart Circuit this weekend.
During his first full season, the Johannesburg driver has been competing in both OK-N and Senior MAX, improving on every occasion. Currently third in the championship and nine points adrift of second place, Bezuidenhout could move up the rankings following a strong performance this weekend.
“Good to be back karting this weekend. The break did me a world of good, allowing me to take my mind off racing for a few days and enjoy my other passion. But it’s all focus again, hoping we can make up some of the ground to second. Vereeniging is also not a circuit I know well, but we’ll be pushing regardless,” stated Bezuidenhout.
Saturday morning will see a ten-minute Warm-Up Session (08:24) followed by a ten-minute Qualifying Session (10:08). Three 15-lap heats (11:54, 14:39 and 16:47) will conclude the day’s racing.
