Fresh from his recent Senior MAX national outing, Johannesburg’s Mikel Bezuidenhout is set to resume his OK-N title chase as Round 4 of the MSA Northern Regions Karting Championships gets underway at Zwartkops Kart Raceway this weekend.
Bezuidenhout, a rookie in karting for 2023, has performed exceptionally well. He’s currently ranked fourth and has achieved double podiums in each round he’s competed in. With only a two-point difference from the third position, he has a great chance of moving up in the championship after a solid performance this weekend. MTN Cosmo-Net and Vivo Mobile South Africa back Bezuidenhout.
“I am excited to return to Zwartkops this weekend. I always enjoy racing on that track and hope to achieve our first victory there this weekend. We’ve had a few strong results and podiums but have yet to score that win. The team have been exceptional this season, and I am confident we can pull it off,” said Bezuidenhout.
Saturday will see drivers qualify in the morning before participating in three race heats. Spectators are welcome with entry free of charge.
