Noah Cronje, Sparco Ambassador, placed fourth overall in the third round of MSA’s Northern Regions ROK Karting Championships this past weekend. Despite missing the previous round, the double National Bambino Champion made a strong comeback at the Formula-K Kart Circuit on 13 May.
While unable to keep up with the pacesetter, Cronje qualified in sixth place on Saturday morning. Despite not being the fastest, he made up for it with his unwavering determination, which earned him a spot on the podium, his second of the season. During the second heat, however, he had to rely on his defensive driving skills to fend off Diego Antunes’ determined challenge to finish fourth. He would repeat that result in the final heat, where he crossed the finish line in a lonely fourth position to end a challenging day.
Cronje expressed frustration with his overall performance, stating a need for more pace compared to his competitors. However, he showed optimism that with the valuable data, they could improve before the upcoming national in two weeks. Cronje thanked everyone for their support, with a special shoutout to Sparco.
Cronje returns to the Formula-K Kart Circuit on 27 May for the second national round of the MSA ROK Cup Karting Championship.
