The long wait is over for Johannesburg youngster Aqil Alibhai, as the ROKiT British Formula 4 season blasts off at Donington Park this weekend. The premier British single-seater series for young drivers looking to follow former champion Lando Norris’ footsteps to Formula 1, F4 races Abarth powered latest generation Tatuus T-421 chassis with full F1-style halo safety.
“Finally, the ROKiT British Formula 4 season starts this weekend and I am so excited to race at Donington,” Aqil admitted. “I have been pushing hard in the gym, on the sim and in testing and I am ready to trot out our new look for the 2023 season and deliver the best possible results. Let’s do this!”
Aqil confirmed in January that he will race the FIA certified 2023 ROKiT British F4 championship with Virtuosi Racing. “Testing with the team has been seamless and I felt comfortable right away. I can’t wait to fly the South African flag in this prestigious championship. Bring on the weekend!”
