Following a dominant display at his home circuit in Cape Town, rising Mini MAX star Max Boshoff now sets his sights on Round 2 of the 2025 South African Rotax MAX Challenge at Vereeniging Kart Circuit from 25–26 April.

Max, representing the Xtreme Racing Team, heads to Gauteng brimming with confidence after delivering a statement victory in Round 1 at Killarney. The 11-year-old Cape Town native overcame a record 25-kart field to clinch the overall win, storming to pole position and racking up two wins and a runner-up finish in three electrifying heats.

Currently leading the championship standings, Max will be looking to extend his advantage in what’s expected to be another hotly contested round of racing. Despite the shift from his home track to the high-grip, technical layout of Vereeniging, Max has proven he can adapt quickly, a trait showcased when he surged from 11th to first in Heat 2 at Killarney, executing a decisive last-lap overtake to seal victory.

“The goal is to keep the momentum going,” said Max. “Winning at home was special, but now it’s time to focus on the rest of the championship. There are three very tough rounds remaining, and every point counts.”

A multiple Western Province Motor Club (WPMC) Karting Champion and recent national race winner, Max’s track record reflects raw speed and a growing maturity in race strategy. His versatility across both the Rotax and ROK series this season highlights the depth of his talent as one of South Africa’s brightest young karters.

As the national campaign gains traction, all eyes will be on the Mini MAX front-runner when the lights go out in Vereeniging. With championship points on the line and the season beginning to take shape, Max Boshoff is one name you’ll want to remember.
