Siya’s journey in motorsport is one of resilience, passion, and commitment. What began as a dream without direction led him to performing stunts on his small bike—until a tragic loss in his community reshaped his focus. Determined to race in a structured environment, he joined SAMRA at 16 with only his mother’s support and worked his way up through various racing classes.
His breakthrough came in 2024 when Yamaha South Africa sponsored his first personal bike, enabling him to train consistently and unlock his full potential.
Siya’s enthusiasm extends beyond the track. His passion for uplifting his community drove him to establish a racing academy for township kids. He knows firsthand what it’s like to want to race but lack the means or knowledge to start. His victory in the season opener wasn’t just a personal triumph—it was a moment of inspiration for his community, where he shared the trophy, sparking hope among those who had never imagined such possibilities.
His next goal?
To keep moving forward, compete on the global stage, and secure funding to help more young riders escape the streets through motorsport.
Siya’s message to others looking to drive transformation: Stay humble, be grateful, and create opportunities for those who don’t yet know the sport exists. The talent is there—it just needs a chance to shine.
A special thank you to Motorsport South Africa and the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture for their support over the years, along with my valued sponsors: Monster Energy, Precise Investments, Ducted Solutions, Speed Paradise, and Kheyi.
