Teenage racing sensation Tjaden Tromp is gearing up for his second season in the Formula Vee South Africa (FVSA) Championship. He is determined to build on his debut year and challenge for top honours in 2025. Tromp will kick off his campaign at the prestigious Passion for Speed Festival at Zwartkops Raceway next weekend with his eyes on the championship.

The Passion for Speed event, an annual motorsport spectacle that draws enthusiasts from across the globe, will be a crucial opportunity for Tromp to get reacquainted with his car ahead of the championship season. Although the event is not part of the official championship calendar, it will provide invaluable seat time and allow Tromp to fine-tune his racecraft under competitive conditions.

Reflecting on his upcoming season, Tromp expressed confidence in his preparations and the lessons learned from his rookie year. “Last season was a steep learning curve, but I gained much experience to carry forward. The Passion for Speed festival is a great chance to shake off the rust and ensure we’re ready for the season,” he said.

Tromp’s debut season in the FVSA saw him consistently improving, battling with more experienced competitors and showcasing his potential with strong performances. Now, with a year of experience under his belt, he aims to take the next step and establish himself as a serious title contender.

Tromp will need every opportunity to hone his skills, with the 2025 Formula Vee South Africa Championship expected to be fiercely competitive. The Zwartkops outing will allow Tromp and his team to test setups, assess the competition, and enter the championship rounds with momentum and confidence.

Pretoria Noord Toyota, Solergy Solutions, and Man vs. Machine proudly support Tromp’s 2025 campaign. Their backing provides the resources and motivation to compete at the highest level.

As anticipation builds for the new season, fans and competitors will closely monitor Tromp’s progress, eager to see if the young talent can turn potential into podiums and mount a credible title challenge.
