Alonzo de Oliveira clinched the Northern Regions Bambino Kart Championship this past Saturday, showcasing remarkable consistency throughout the season. Heading into the final round with a substantial 31-point lead, he understood the importance of not becoming complacent, especially since the last round of the regional competition featured double points.

A solid performance this weekend, though, saw the young driver of Portuguese descent finish second overall after a win and two runner-up finishes. This was enough to secure Alonzo’s first karting title since starting in 2023.

Alonzo was highly pleased with how the day turned out. Although he aimed to win all three heats, the day’s winner, Sebastian Shuttleworth, showcased his determination to have the last say. Their rivalry throughout the season had made the journey meaningful, culminating in fierce competition between the two in the final heats. Alonzo extended his deepest gratitude to his family and sponsors, as their unwavering support made all this possible.
