The Northern Regions Rotax Kart Championships will conclude on Saturday, 30 November, giving Micro MAX rookie Luhan de Wet a final opportunity to contend for the regional title.

Luhan trails the championship leader by 48 points; however, the final round’s double-point scoring system affords him a significant chance to secure an additional championship title after claiming the 2023 National Cadet crown.

In addition to the points system, the final round will adhere to a consistent schedule throughout the season, which includes an unofficial practice session on Friday, the 29th. Saturday morning will commence with a warm-up session before competitors qualify to determine the starting grid positions. Three race heats will determine the day’s winner and the 2024 regional champion.

Luhan seeks to sustain his impressive performance this weekend, having achieved 16 podium finishes in the 2024 season. Nonetheless, he is resolved to secure additional victories beyond his single win at the season opener.

Luhan thanks De Wet Automotive Service & Repairs, Motorsport Fanatix and Xtreme Racing Team for the support.
