Team Green’s Holl & Den win GXCC Cross Country championships

Pepson Plastics Kawasaki Factory Racing with Michelin, Motul, Bikewise and Scottish Cables came home from Fochville with two GXCC Gauteng Cross Country Motorcycle championship titles in their pocket on Saturday. Masters’ rider Pieter Holl wrapped up his second Masters title on the trot and Geoff Den took the Veterans championship.

“We celebrate two new GXCC Gauteng Champions this weekend,” Pepson Plastics Kawasaki Factory Racing with Michelin, Motul, Bikewise and Scottish Cables team boss Iain Pepper confirmed. “Hats off to Pieter Holl on a dominant back-to-back Masters title on his green machine. And to Geoff Den who did not even have to race today to take the Vets crown on his Kawasaki.

“We also had Cam Becker wrap up second in the 250cc OR3 chase, while Stuart Billingham came home third in OR3 in Fochville. Our young guns, Jake Pretorius was third in on the day to clinch second in the OR4 championship, and Jayden Boyce was third in the race to take sixth in the OR3 Pro-Am championship.”

“I am absolutely delighted to take my second GXCC Masters title in two years for Pepson Plastics Kawasaki today,” Pieter Holl beamed. “We had good pace all year, my Kawasaki has run like a dream and while I had to work hard once or twice, It all came good in the end. Today was tough, some rocks, some mud and water and fast, dusty sections too, but here we are, winners and champions again! Thanks so much to my Kawasaki family for this wonderful opportunity!”

“I had a good season and I’m happy and even a little surprised to end up second in the title chase,” Cameron Becker admitted. “Today wasn’t my best run, but still, I am happy with silver for the season. My Kawasaki KX 250 X has been on rails all year long and my Pepson Plastics Kawasaki Factory Racing with Michelin, Motul, Bikewise and Scottish Cables team always on point, which makes it all that much easier! So thanks to every one of the guys behind the scenes, and to my family, and well done to the GXCC team for yet another awesome season”.

“So, that’s the wrap on another great racing season and we will celebrate with two more Pepson Plastics Kawasaki Factory Racing with Michelin, Motul, Bikewise and Scottish Cables champions,” Iain Pepper concludes. “Well done to every single member of the team. See you in 2025!”
