Brandon van der Nest will compete in this year’s ROK Superfinal, held from 15-19 October at the South Garda Karting Circuit in Lonato, Italy. This event represents the most significant challenge of his short karting career, as the Pretoria driver will take on the world’s best Senior ROK drivers.
Racing out of the CRG Holland stable, Brandon’s journey commences on Tuesday, 15 October, with sporting checks and unofficial free practice. Wednesday, 16 October, there will be official free practices, qualifying practices, and a few qualifying heats, followed by Thursday and Friday with all the qualifying heats ahead of Saturday’s pre-finals and finals!
“I’ll be honest; it’s an experience I’m looking forward to. I’m told that Italy is beautiful, and its people are welcoming and friendly. Also, competing on the international stage is a dream come true, and I hope to showcase my skills despite the obvious lack of international experience. I will be pretty satisfied if I can compete in the midpack and up. I’m going to soak it all in and ensure it’s a memorable experience,” said Brandon.
Let’s show Brandon our support as he embarks on the next chapter of his journey towards a career in motorsport. We wish him all the best!
The event will be live-streamed from Friday, 18 October, on the link below:
