It was rewarding weekend in the Free State for Red-Lined Motorsport, which came home from a well-attended fourth-round Off-Road North Championship event, the Twin Star 500 with the overall win and three race cars in the overall top ten.

“We travelled to the Free State for some further testing of our GTR powered REVO T1+ together with some much-needed seat time for our rookie customers as we train them up for their national debuts later in the year” Red-Lined team principal Terence Marsh reports. “Once again, the event was well attended and well organized which gave us a great platform to achieve our objectives.

“We are delighted that our European CEO, Rients Hofstra together with our Head Engineer, Matthew Thersby went on to take overall and Ultimate class T1+ honours in our newly developed REVO+ GT-R. The main objectives here been for Rients to get further seat time while Matthew got to experience everything first hand as he continues to lead the development of this race car.

“It was also a rewarding weekend for us in the T1 Adventure class, where young Nickus Heinlein and Jaco Kriel came home second in class and fourth overall in their Sirkel N Racing VK50. Danie Ludick and Denzil Williamson then followed them home in third in class and seventh overall in their newly acquired Elegant Fuels VK56. Both these young pairings are currently on training programs with us as they gear up for National participation later in the year.

“Well done to all three crews and their respective technical teams for what was a great all-round effort. We now look forward to taking our learnings into the next round of the South African Rally Raid Championship which also takes place in the Free State around Parys over the 17 August weekend.”
