Diego Antunes makes his first national Mini ROK appearance as the National ROK Cup Karting Championship season begins at the Killarney International Raceway this weekend.
Diego, who will compete in his first full season as a Mini ROK driver, heads to Cape Town for the first time in 2024, having opted not to compete at the Cape regional a few weeks earlier. His last visit to the circuit was in August 2023, shortly after deciding to move up from the Kid ROK class. Diego recently competed in the invitational African Karting Cup at Zwartkops, his only competitive outing thus far. He, however, looks forward to the weekend’s competition.
Diego continues to race out of the NBR Racing stable and will compete against 15 other drivers nationwide. Practice will start on Friday, with Qualifying and three race heats set for Saturday. Spectators are welcome, and the event will be live-streamed on the ROK Cup South Africa YouTube channel.
