Southern African Endurance Series (SAES), the promotors of the SA Endurance and SA GT National Championships has secured the 16th of December 2023 at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit for its season-ending showcase.
The SA Endurance National Championship finale will be run under the banner SA Endurance Series: Nine Hours of Kyalami. This event will reward competitors with double points and will host three rounds of the SA GT National Championship.
In addition to the feast of SAES motorsport, two support categories have been confirmed, adding more thrill to the year-end spectacle.
SAES Chairperson, Xolile Letlaka said: “The name Kyalami refers to ‘my home’ in isiZulu and it is fitting that our two racing properties return to Kyalami, which has been the traditional home of endurance racing since the early 1960s.”
“We are proud to offer our racing competitors and spectators the opportunity to watch world-class cars and drivers compete at Kyalami as we crown our 2023 champions and round off a spectacular season of endurance racing in style. SAES and the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit are a match made in heaven,” Letlaka added.
SAES CEO, Wayne Riddell said: “We have been moving in the direction of Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and the attraction is mutual between driver and destination. As the promoters of the series, we have always aimed to develop our offering worthy of participation at this iconic venue. To say that we are excited to have secured a date with Kyalami is an understatement.”
More details regarding ticket sales for the SA Endurance Series: Nine Hours of Kyalami as well as exciting developments for the 2024 calendar will be announced soon.
