Kid ROK racer Noah Cronje impressed with a solid outing at the weekend, claiming his first national victory on his way to finishing as the runner-up at the final round of the MSA National ROK Cup Karting Championship held at the Vereeniging Kart Circuit.
The Sparco brand ambassador has had a challenging rookie season after moving up from the Bambino class in 2023, where he clinched the national titles in both the Rotax and ROK series. His tenacity and competitiveness led to consistent improvement throughout the season, culminating in a weekend where he claimed three podium finishes, including his first win. A further accolade saw Cronje record the fastest lap during the opening heat, just 0,093 seconds off the day’s fastest lap.
“It was one of my most exciting race weekends ever. Certainly right up there with winning the Bambino Championship. We were still lacking some pace on Friday, but today, we were on it. My team were phenomenal, and I was able to challenge for the podium throughout the day. It also allowed me to be in a position to claim victory. We will certainly build on this. Thank you to my sponsors Sparco, Motul and Easy Life Kitchens,” stated Cronje after his final race.
Cronje will return on 11 November 2023 for the final round of the MSA Northern Regions ROK Karting Championship scheduled at the Vereeniging Kart Circuit.
